Osaka - SS26 Padel Collection
The SS26 Osaka Padel collection was built around one clear goal: creating a range that feels genuinely unique, both visually and technically. Instead of relying on standard off-the-shelf colours, the collection was developed through custom metallic paints created in close collaboration with the factory’s paint specialists. Inspired by real-world references photographed on the streets, colours like Transformative Teal and Ferite Green were carefully refined into exclusive finishes with depth, movement and personality. Especially Ferite Green became a standout within the collection, evolving into one of the most distinctive colours I’ve worked on to date. The attention to detail continued throughout the entire range. For the top-end rackets, even the foil applications were custom developed. Rather than using standard silver, gold or holographic foils, transparent colour layers were printed over specialised foil bases to create unique visual effects that shift depending on light and viewing angle.
Beyond aesthetics, SS26 also introduced technical refinements across the lineup. Following player and market feedback on the previous generation, the foam compositions were redesigned throughout the collection to create a clearer progression between price points. The higher-end models now feature denser foams and more demanding constructions, resulting in increased power and a more direct playing experience for advanced players. The collection also includes a fully custom racket developed together with former world number 35 Raúl Marcos. Working closely with him, the racket was tailored around his preferred balance point, weight distribution, foam composition and material setup. To complete the project, the racket received its own exclusive champagne bronze metallic finish, developed specifically for his signature model. From custom paints and finish development to factory-ready production files and performance tuning, the SS26 Osaka Padel collection reflects a design process where aesthetics, engineering and manufacturing are treated as one connected system.
